How to set up two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second step to sign-in using an authenticator app, so a password alone isn’t enough to access your account.

  1. Open Security → Multi-factor auth.
  2. Under Google Authenticator, click Activate.
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
  4. Enter the verification code to finish.
